After UAE joined the top 5 countries in the world in 339 developmental, economic, and social indicators in 2022, one of our goals this year has become to achieve the government’s 5 priorities that focus on the social, economic, investment, and development aspects, in order to keep pace with the rapid changes towards designing a better future for the Emirates.
Organizations are facing difficulty to leverage data for solving their problems by making it more accessible to authorized users, and by providing a clear framework for managing data quality, data security, and data privacy
Data Accessibility: As part of data governance, classification of data attributes with different privacy labels like open, sensitive, internal or confidential in order to ensure the compliance standards are met while accessing and utilizing the data for decision making.
Data Quality: Many organizations rely on open datasets to drive their business decisions and research. However, these datasets can often be of poor quality, containing errors, missing values, or inconsistent formatting. The goal of this challenge is to improve the quality of an open dataset, making it more useful for downstream applications and identify and correct any errors, missing values, or inconsistencies in the data. This may involve cleaning and preprocessing the data, as well as creating new features or variables.
Compliance framework: a compliance framework can be developed and applied to open datasets. This may include identifying relevant laws and regulations, developing policies and procedures for data usage, and creating tools for monitoring and enforcing compliance.
The UAE is taking many procedures and initiatives to enhance its cyber security despite the clear spread of this threat, as the cyber threat is rapidly evolving globally with a growth in data violation annually. This threat could grow to reach more sectors and victims if we couldn’t find solutions to prevent it. Can we develop a specific method or system to detect and prevent fraud in real time and facilitate arresting those fraudsters?
Airports are considered complicated dynamic environments and sometimes an exhausting experience for the passengers due to the long waits, security procedures, and moving between unfamiliar spots, which are continuously developing to meet the needs of passengers and other stakeholders. Understanding passengers’ behaviors and emotions from entering the airport to boarding will provide valuable insights to design more efficient, comfortable, and secured spaces.
To ensure the effective design and operation of these environments, it’s necessary to understand the body language, mood, emotions, and behaviors of the passengers during their movement in the airport. This proposal aims to find an integrated technical solution to detect and analyze these elements to provide valuable insights for planning and designing the interior spaces, services, and experiences of the passengers in the future.
The early diagnosis helps to rescue the patients through providing the required medical care without any complications, but the great challenge is to recognize the type of cases (emergency or normal, to decrease the pressure on the resources). All cases that come to the operation room are considered as emergency cases due to the inability of the receptionist to classify the case.
Queries on new connection status are increasing and customers have to enquire through many channels to know the status of their project.
Project status for a new electricity connection application shall be automated using virtual assistant (Artificial Intelligence).
Develop methods for healthy life patterns in order to follow a set of practices that aim to enhance individuals’ health and protect them from the noncommunicable diseases such as: diabetes, cancer, heart diseases, etc) which leads to elevate the level of life, and improve the current situation of increased health expenses due to diseases, increased noncommunicable diseases, and increased obesity rate.
The Dubai Health Authority seeks to develop innovative technologies to improve the psychological health services from protection to diagnosis and treatment. As depression and anxiety are the most common diseases, the UAE government is constantly developing new measures and plans to solve the psychological problems of the individuals.
Dubai is working towards the rapid application of the emerging technologies and economies. Due to the great and rapid transformations in the field of logistics and transportation, as well as the lack of drones’ tracks to detect the violations, it’s necessary to find new innovative solutions to contribute in controlling and rationing these new growing services.
This challenge aims to realize the following:
- Encourage the usage of formal data and statistics in making decisions through providing a platform for the participants to develop innovative solutions.
- Enhance the usage of data science, machine learning, and other analyzing technologies to transform the raw data into executional visions.
- Facilitate cooperation between the different participants; such as: data analysts, policy makers, and experts, to promote ideation and solve the interdisciplinary problems.
- Increase awareness of the importance of making decisions based on data and the role of technology to realize this objective.
In light of the disruptive changes, the world has become more vulnerable to many crises and challenges. As Covid-19 represents a clear example of a real crisis forcing the world to change, all sectors and institutions have to be resilient in dealing with the crises with solutions, initiatives, programs, and applications that could serve their sustainability.
It’s a fact that designing and developing solutions towards institutions' resilience has a great impact on the state and community, which ensures the sustainability of these institutions and providing services for the individuals, community, and the country during any crisis, as well as ensuring the prompt response in dealing with such crises.
The users journey in Al fujairah government extends across all the local authorities all the way to the financial department to meet their needs and satisfactions. We are keen to adopt the guidance of the wise leadership by boosting happiness level of the users and developing the services and system through following the government strategy for digital transformation and technological solutions as well as focusing of the user experience, and designing an advanced government experience that meet their needs towards realizing the best government services in the world, as the users of the current system are suffering from delaying the delivery and inquiries.
The non-communicable diseases affect anybody of any age, but the elderly are the most vulnerable to these diseases. Globally, these diseases are considered the main cause for death as non-chronic diseases are among the serious diseases that a large number of the world's population are suffering from. Despite the UAE is still in the danger zone, this decrease means that thousands of citizens will be saved from diabetes.
The Ministry of Justice seeks to provide proactive services with advanced technologies that can keep pace with the future changes and facilitate access to justice. Currently, the Ministry of Justice adopts many modern technologies to individually develop its services; such as using blockchain in digital agencies and AI in smart chats. As the human factor still exists within the many procedures and in order to boost the efficiency as well as save time and effort for the citizen, the ministry seeks to solve these challenges by attracting innovative solutions using AI and IoT to obtain smart pioneering services.
The Ministry of Justice seeks to provide proactive services with advanced technologies that can keep pace with the future changes and facilitate access to justice. Currently, the Ministry of Justice mainly relies on the judge in studying cases and issuing judgments. As the human factor still exists within the many procedures and in order to boost the efficiency as well as save time and effort for the citizens and judges, the ministry seeks to solve these challenges by attracting innovative solutions using AI to design an electronic system to act as a virtual judge able to issuing judgments in easy cases with certain procedures.
AI development and employment to take actions and obtain the required services without the need to communicate with the concerned departments. Among the government steps regarding this matter is the application of a simple chat system to respond and address the direct operations and procedures with the ability to communicate directly with the concerned departments.
